Sports Floor
Sports floors need special attention.
Most of them are created from finish on site hardwood (generally maple), which make them more compatible for recoats.
We recommend recoats every 2-3 years for sport or fitness floors, procedure that will prolong the life of the floors finish, without requiring an extensive and expensive sanding procedure.
The finishes we are using for this type of wood floors are top-of-the-line for wear and tear products like water-based with catalyst and moister cured polyurethane; they dye fast and tough.
The sheen used for the sport floors should be gloss or high gloss since the flattening agents in the other finishes can create a more slippery floor.
